Karim Rahmann is an independent filmmaker and visual storyteller based in Kolkata, working across documentary cinema, visual documentation, and narrative-led digital films within art, culture, theatre, music, and design. His practice lies at the intersection of research and cinema, translating ideas, processes, and lived experiences into carefully constructed visual narratives.

Karim Rahmann has led video and content strategy for several major cultural institutions & platforms. He served as Head of Video Production for the inaugural edition of the Bengal Biennale, shaping its documentation framework and visual language. He has been closely associated with Emami Art, producing artist portfolio films for archival and institutional contexts. He has also headed content and video production for TATA Steel Chess India 2026, Kolkata Literary Meet 2026, DAG Museum’s fifth edition of City as a Museum, and Kolkata Centre for Creativity’s annual AMI Arts Festival for the past four years.
